The House Decked Out For Christmas!

Taken with a flash

...and without :)

This year we opted to go for the colored lights on the house instead of the white ones we usually have and we were happy with the end result. I'll have to say it is weird to wrap Christmas lights around a palm tree and to decorate the outside of your house while wearing a t-shirt and shorts! Maybe next year I can convince Jason to put lights on the top tier of the roof as well! The only thing missing is snow is make it look more Christmasy :)

Deb & Jason's Christmas Fort

For Christmas this year Jason's parents gave them the option of getting a new "big person" bed. So we went shopping and picked out this huge black canopy bed and some new bedding. The kids call it our fort and think its pretty cool. The only downfall to the coolness factor is that Jason can't lie in bed and watch tv, the posts are in the way!! That aside we love it!

Christmas Dinner

The kids!!

Max and Gram!

The kids helping Gram with the table :)

Usually as the holidays go, Deb makes Thanksgiving dinner and Wendy(Jason's Mom) makes Christmas dinner. So we got the kids to reluctantly leave their toys and get dressed up and we drove over to Jason's parents so we could exchange gifts and have dinner. Their grandparents got them a karaoke machine which they use a lot. Especially Emily!! Dinner was delicious and im sure we all left a few pounds heavier than when we had arrived.

Max and his Cookie Monster Stocking!!

Santa visited the Thomas house this year and between he and our families the kids had a wonderful spoiled Christmas. The house is bursting with new toys, a new Wii video game system, a karaoke machine and books and fun activities. It was a wonderful day had by all and even Max got into the spirit and enjoyed unwrapping gifts and he especially loved his Cookie Monster stocking.

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve it has become a tradition for us to go and visit the Mesa Arizona Temple to see the lights with Jason's parents and whoever else is in town visiting for Christmas. This year Uncle Shaun and Uncle Tyler came with us. The kids love looking at the beautiful lighting display. Even Max was looking all over, taking in all the beautiful lights. We took these photos with the kids and their grandparents and Jason and Max that night!!

Cooper

The kids wanted to make sure that we had a picture of Cooper on our blog page. Since he is a pretty big part of our family we figured why not!! He is a Puggle. This means that he is part Pugg and part Beagle. He steals your shoes and takes them outside to chew on or if you get up off the couch he will steal your spot! He is a little poop disturber! He loves the kids and always gets extremely excited when they come home from school. He especially loves to run under the trampoline when the kids are bouncing on it and tries to bite their feet through the trampline mat, while barking up a storm. I'm sure our neighbors must be thrilled with this. urgh haha.

Our Family Gift

This Christmas Jason and Deb decided to purchase a Christmas gift for the entire family. We are a huge movie watching family so we joined the world of the 'big people' and bought a new television for our family room. Its a 60 inch Sony television which more than meets our needs! You will have to come down and watch a movie with us the next time you are in town!!! You will notice that there aren't any decorations on the bottom third of the Christmas tree. Between Max and Cooper we gave up and moved all the ornaments to the top portion of the tree. :)

A visit with Santa

The kids were hounding us to go to see Santa so we took the opportunity to beat the rush and locked in the present wishes to make a trip to the closest mall. Max didn't cry at all, he just looked at Santa with a look of, "Who the heck are you?" The present requests were as follows: Emily - a Hannah Montana doll, Hudson - a bow and arrow set, Tori - Dora the Explorer Mermaid and for Max...we'll see what Santa comes up with :)

Christmas Photos

Christmas tends to be the only time of the year i get the kids dressed and off to the store to get their yearly photo taken. Maybe one of these years we will do a family one again, or maybe not. Ha ha. With four kids making sure everyone is smiling and looking the right way is a feat in itself. We thought this one was the best of the bunch.

New Tradition for 2008

Since we have a lot of family and friends who do not live near to us we decided to follow in the footsteps of my sister in law Steph and create a family blog/photo site. We will try to keep it updated and full of our latest adventures!!
